Under the Bamboo Tree
Labirinto della Masone, created by Franco Maria Ricci, the largest labyrinth in the world, comprising about 200,000 bamboo plants, this year is partner to Landscape Festival – I Maestri del Paesaggio: a relationship brought about by the common interest in the landscape and nature. In fact, since 2016, a large-scale annual festival is organized at the Labirinto della Masone: Under the Bamboo Tree; a festival entirely dedicated to bamboo.
On the 5th and 6th of October the fourth edition of Under the Bamboo Tree will take place: two days dedicated to the bamboo, the plant of a thousand virtues. There will be international expert conferences, accompanied by workshops, exhibitions, laboratory sessions and culinary and musical surprises: from the use of bamboo in engineering and architecture to its sustainable recycling. Under the Bamboo Tree 2019 also awaits the second edition of the international Bamboo Rush competition for the design and realization of an object designed in bamboo: a competition that aims to stimulate the use of bamboo in design products for domestic use or for public spaces, as well as the enhancement of the technical and aesthetic properties of bamboo.
