A flower for Bergamo
A flower for Bergamo
A special year and certainly a special edition, the X of the Landscape Festival – I Maestri del Paesaggio. This Special Event was wanted, conceived and created thanks to the collaboration between Silvia Mascheretti, event organizer of “Scay” in Bergamo, Massimiliano Campoli, floral designer and head of “Myhrra concept store” in Bergamo and the architect, specialist in restoration of the monuments, Laura Di Bella. Three cultural awareness, three professionals who decided to create a temporary installation within the event, entitled "UN FIORE per BERGAMO".
The project involves the construction under the arcades of Palazzo della Ragione in the heart of Piazza Vecchia, of a mobile structure made of scaffolding tubulars of the Innocenti company (material symbol of "rebirth and reconstruction"), hydrophilic sponge and thousands of Dianthus flowers (the flowers of God); At first, they will only make the supporting structure, because the work will be accomplished only thanks to the participation of those who want to pay a symbolic contribution and thus buy a flower that will be positioned in the structure. Magically, flower after flower, thanks to the efforts of those who will join us, the skyline of the city of Bergamo will be created in the mobile wall.
A collective work that combines art, social relations, creativity and solidarity: in fact the contribution that will be paid by those who want to make "A FLOWER FOR BERGAMO" will join the Green to the People fundraising organized by the Landscape Festival in order to donate a garden for the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital, which could be a place for meeting, exchange, but also for silence and reflection.
The project does not end here: those who participate with their contribution to the "reconstruction" of the skyline of our city, will be given a bag with Dianthus seeds that can be planted in your homes, on your terraces, in your gardens to revive Bergamo all together.
We look forward to seeing you during the weekend 11-12-13th September under the arcade of the Palazzo della Ragione in Piazza Vecchia!
